What was the biggest factor for you in your decision to continue your education?
Initially, I decided to continue my education due to downsizing. Later, it became much more. I know as a teacher I won’t be rich. I’ve been in good paying jobs. It’s time for me to look forward to the job that I know I’ll love.

What type of work do you do now?
Teacher Assistant 2nd grade

What are your plans for the future?
3rd grade keeps calling my name…

Why did you choose Mars Hill College's Adult ACCESS Program?
The program is designed for working adults. Those of us who have waited a long time to complete our degree usually have financial obligations that require us to continue working. The opportunity to be a full time student while maintaining a full time day job is another huge plus for the program.

What has been your favorite part of being in college with ACCESS?
My favorite part of being in college with the ACCESS program has got to be meeting new people. In addition to realizing my dream the people that I now consider friends are amazing. I know this is where I need to be and I wouldn’t be anywhere else.
