What was the biggest factor for you in your decision to continue your education?
My main motivation in continuing my education was to attain a degree that would allow me to have employment options. With the education I have received at Mars Hill College, I am well regarded by potential employers.

What type of work do you do now?
I am currently in my senior field placement as a full time intern at the Buncombe County Department of Social Services.

What are your plans for the future?
I will work in the social services field for several years and then complete my Masters of Social Work.

Why did you choose Mars Hill College's Adult ACCESS Program?
I was, and still am, very impressed by the faculty and support staff. The classes sizes are small which allowed me to build a support network with the other adult learners. The accredited BSW program has an excellent reputation and the evening classes allowed me to continue to work while finishing my degree.

What has been your favorite part of being in college with ACCESS?
The best part of being an ACCESS student is being a person not just a number. At MHC, people recognize me, know my name, and care about me as a person. Coupled with the outstanding education I receive, MHC is a rare find when compared to other colleges these days.
