What was the biggest factor for you in your decision to continue your education?
I wanted to be the first in my family to get a 4-yr degree and I had a scholarship to Mars Hill coming out of high school. For personal reasons I choose to go to work at Glen Raven immediately after my high school graduation. Glen Raven had the Mars Hill program in place (they pay all expenses for the employees who want to continue their education) so it was a no-brainer.

What type of work do you do now?
I am the Manufacturing Manager at Glen Raven Technical Fabrics in Burnsville. (started as cleaner on night shift)

What are your plans for the future?
I strive to continue climbing the career ladder with Glen Raven as well as building my job skills for whatever opportunities may come my way in the future. With a drive to succeed and a college degree the sky is the limit.

Why did you choose Mars Hill College's Adult ACCESS Program?
Glen Raven provided that opportunity at no cost to me at a school with a reputation for having an excellent business department.

What has been your favorite part of being in college with ACCESS?
The interaction with others of various ages who have decided to pursue their goal of a college education. I had classes with people half my age and people twice my age. It was really inspirational.
